What is Genline FamilyFinder?
Genline FamilyFinder (GFF) allows you to search, view, and print pages from
our Swedish Church Records archive. Other features include GIDx, picture rotation, zoom,
contrast/brightness control, IPAR (IP Address Recognition) and proxy server configuration.
What is GIDx?
GIDx is a new concept for Genline which is the “indexing” of the Swedish Church Records archive down to the “Genline ID number (GID) or image. The purpose of the GIDx is to provide searchable complementary information such as parish, village, or farm name that is related to a particular GID number or image.
GIDx is a new feature in Genline FamilyFinder which allows the user to search the GIDx content that is in the Swedish Church Records archive.
How can I get started with Genline FamilyFinder?
Download and install Genline FamilyFinder on your computer. Log in to the Swedish
Church Records archive as a test user and demo Genline FamilyFinder. As a test
user you have access to a few pre-selected counties of our Swedish Church
Records archive.
Does Genline FamilyFinder cost anything?
Genline FamilyFinder is free, however to have full access to the Swedish
Church Records archive you must be a registered user with
genline and order a subscription.
